Other Destinations

If you are looking for ideas and suggestions for travel beyond Latin America including Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Africa and Europe, Katrina Trotter is able to open doors to specialists in these regions.

The trips can be coordinated by Katrina or direct introductions can be made depending on the chosen area.

Some of the projects and journeys created over the past few years have included…

A journey to Egypt exploring Cairo, Luxor and sailing down the Nile on a private Dahabaya led by one of Egypt’s best guides whose knowledge and personality is second to none.

A round-the-world trip from Edinburgh, to Dubai, Cambodia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Peru and Toronto.

A 5 day birthday surprise to Iceland chasing the northern lights, caving in Vatnshellir Caves, sailing on a viking ship around the islands of Breidafjordur. Ice lagoons, waterfalls and glaciers were just some of the amazing landscapes visited along the way.

A privately guided historical and gastronomic tour of Scotland

A private house party in southern Spain fully staffed, all meals and activities included. Perfect for a family holiday or a birthday celebration.

A few of highlights of these regions include:

Arkaba Station in Australia at the foot of the Elder Range is possibly the most beautiful outback property in the country and the best place from which to experience the Flinders. Either stay in the homestead or join the Arkaba Walk, swagging out under the stars in style!

Sab Lord, a legendary guide; the word ‘character’ doesn’t begin to sum him up! Renowned for his irreverent humour, in true Aussie style he ends every sentence with ‘mate’! The best way to experience a top-end safari is to be guided by Sab who has an extraordinary knowledge of this area. Whilst his guests may be allowed the luxury of a room, Sab whatever the weather would always rather sleep out in his swag. He is a great bush cook, too, kangaroo fillets in beer being his favourite dish.

New Zealand, Explore the Abel Tasman National Park on an Abel Tasman Charter which includes kayaking, snorkelling walks in the

National Park. The Launch has a maximum of 9 people on board and the hosts are exceptional.

New Zealand, Day cruise on a 75 year old Kauri classic launch called “Tutanekai” with Pete and Takutai. On this exclusive boat trip you will visit remote bays & inlets far from the usual tourist beat, see dolphins, seals, bird colonies a shipwreck, Island bird Sanctuary, Wildlife Sanctuary, Derelict Whaling Station & Guided Bush walks through native forests. You will see the Sounds from a Maori prospective – who better to sail the sounds with that tanga ta whenua “people of the land”. Takutai has an amazing ability to identify birds by their song and they know the sounds like the back of their hands.

Egypt Private charter on an 8-cabin Egyptian Dahabaya sailing down the Nile from Luxor to Aswan visiting ancient sites and local villages along the way. Guide, crew and all meals included

“Epic trip. You were – once again – recipient of many toasts from afar! Truly awesome.” Matt Paton
